Umza Air operates under Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority oversight. Safety and regulatory compliance aren’t a department here — they’re our licence to fly.
Every Umza flight is the product of a system built to keep it safe and legal: certified people, approved procedures, maintained aircraft and continuous oversight. This is how we hold ourselves — and how the regulator holds us. Below are the actual instruments we hold, with their references and validity.

The framework we fly under
NCAA certified
We operate under NCAA Air Operator Certificate UASL/AOC/11-24/001 for scheduled operations, valid to 16 November 2029 and subject to ongoing audit and inspection.
Safety management system
A formal SMS identifies, reports and mitigates risk before it reaches a flight — with a just culture that expects people to speak up.
Named post-holders
Flight operations, continuing airworthiness, safety and security each sit with an accountable, NCAA-accepted post-holder — not with a committee.
Rules of carriage
Our conditions of carriage set out your rights and ours, in line with Nigerian consumer-protection regulations.
Approved procedures
Operations, maintenance and training all run to manuals approved by the authority and kept current.
Pilgrimage accreditation
Our Hajj operations are flown for the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and accredited tour operators.
