Conditions of carriage
The agreement between you and Umza Air when you book and fly with us.
Last updated July 2026
These conditions summarise your rights and responsibilities, and ours, for travel on Umza Air. They apply to every booking. This is a plain-language summary; the full conditions govern in the event of any difference.
1. Booking & reservations
All bookings are subject to availability. Fares, taxes and charges are confirmed at the time of purchase. We may change fares and schedules as our operation requires; confirmed bookings are honoured under these conditions.
You are responsible for providing accurate passenger information. The name on your booking must match your government-issued ID.
2. Flight operations & schedules
We endeavour to adhere to published schedules, but times are not guaranteed and may change. Check-in and boarding deadlines must be met: airport check-in closes 40 minutes before departure and gates close 20 minutes before departure.
We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), but we will re-accommodate affected passengers wherever we can.
3. Baggage
Passengers are accountable for the contents of their baggage and must comply with weight, size and safety limits. Restricted and dangerous goods may not be carried except as permitted.
We are not liable for damage to unchecked (hand) baggage, or for fragile, valuable or perishable items. Keep valuables and essentials with you in the cabin.
4. Changes, cancellations & refunds
Changes are subject to your fare rules and may attract a fare difference or fee. Refunds, where applicable, are processed according to our published procedure.
If we cancel a flight or cause a significant delay, you may choose an alternative flight or a refund as set out in these conditions.
5. Passenger conduct
Passengers must behave properly and comply with safety and security instructions from our crew. We may refuse boarding or offload any passenger whose behaviour endangers the aircraft, crew or other passengers.
6. Liability
Our liability for loss, damage or delay is limited as permitted by applicable law and these conditions. Where disruption is within our control, we will support and re-accommodate you.
7. Refusal and Limitation of Carriage
The Carrier may refuse carriage where, in its reasonable judgment, it is necessary for: Safety or security of the aircraft or passengers. Compliance with governmental regulations. Passenger’s unruly, abusive, or intoxicated behavior.
Pregnant passengers beyond 28 weeks require a valid medical certificate confirming fitness to fly. The Carrier may deny boarding if concerns arise regarding the passenger’s health or safety.
Passengers with reduced mobility must travel with a capable attendant able to provide necessary assistance throughout the journey.
